Join a dynamic local authority where your work directly improves the lives of over 130,000 residents. We offer flexible working, an excellent pension and genuine opportunities to make a difference in one of England's most historic cities.
Why work for Gloucester City Council?
We are a dynamic local authority providing essential services to the people of Gloucester. Our city is diverse, with communities known for coming together in both times of need and times of celebration. When you join us, you play a direct role in making this city better for everyone who lives, works and visits here.
Most of our roles are based at the Eastgate Centre, a modern accessible open-plan office designed for collaborative working, in the heart of the city. Some of our teams work from the vibrant Guildhall building, our appointments centre, the Museum of Gloucester or the beautiful grounds at our crematorium. Wherever you work from, you will enjoy a collaborative working environment — often without set desks, but always with the option to book — and a laptop from day one. We are always looking to improve how we work and we offer flexible, hybrid and agile working to give our people a great work-life balance.
